Software Engineer @ ActiveCampaign

About me

I'm a Full Stack Software Engineer from Chicago who has experience working on growing SaaS applications. After graduating from the University of Michigan in 2015 with a degree in Economics and Spanish, I first ventured into business consulting. After realizing that I loved to code, I joined the Northwestern Coding Bootcamp in April 2017 to learn web development and have not looked back since. After only completing half the bootcamp I started my first full-time role as a Software Engineer at RIVS, where I worked primarily in PHP, MySQL and Node.js. After a little over a year at RIVS, I accepted a role as an Software Engineer at ActiveCampaign, where I currently work. At AC, I mainly work in PHP, Python, and MySQL. I am also currently pursuing my Masters in Computer Science at DePaul University part time in order to gain a deeper understanding of computer systems, data structures, algorithms, databases, and more.

SoccerCruit: SaaS application written in Laravel PHP and hosted on AWS Elastic Beanstalk and utilizing an MySQL RDS instance. I have put a lot of effort into making SoccerCruit and have earned hundreds of users and a few happy paying customers.
Lakescaster: A Laravel project with a React.js frontend that helps determine surfing conditions on the great lakes. This site is written in PHP 7.3 and is hosted on an AWS Linux EC2 box with an apache web server. The frontend is utilizing Bulma.css and vanilla JS. I will probably add React for some projects. I plan on adding fun little projects here. For example, I just started a Fortnite API project.
